Walther Reed Hospital: Don't Believe the Hype

Do some investigative work when it comes to Walter Reed Hospital. Inside sources(many current and retired veterans) feel this is another media hype incident. If it were not for Congress and all members of our political community taking up over 50% of the hospital's assets, this hospital could be run a bit better. In fact, members of congress/senate, etc, get FREE healthcare for life for themselves and their families. Are you kidding? That is even better than the astronomical raises this group tend to give themselves every year while only working a little over 2 months per year. Now consider this: A soldier returns from serving our country with non threatening injuries and goes to Walter Reed. He has to be put into a room(a temporary suite that used to be office space) because their are no immediate beds due to an overcrowding created by congress and their families. This location is where the pictures were taken to show the poor care given to our military. This was only temporary and the cause was impart due to the same ASSHOLEs(and their families) that brought so much noise in this matter. I do not believe I heard one member of congress suggest that he/she or their families, find fee for service healthcare at another facility due to these "poor" conditions. Of course not. Its free for life, the care is quite good in reality, and it wouldnt help their witch hunt to dismiss "the greatest military physician" in the country. This is just another attempt of our leftist freinds painting our country as some evil power. We do no good in their eyes and the troubles of the world are ALL caused by our horrible, horrible country. Go figure.

GO RAMS!!!

Now that the dust has really settled on the George Mason Patriots miraculous run last year(they did not even receive an NIT bid for 2007), it is time to turn our CAA focus on the Rams of Virginia Commonwealth. They ran the entire season on top of the CAA and clinched the automatic berth by beating last year's darlings in the finals of the CAA Tourney. Sadly, they probably would not have gotten an At Large at 27-6, winners of their conference over 2 teams that the selection committee seemed to like a lot more(ODU and Drexel) VCU did take the drama out of selection Sunday by running thru Georgia State, Drexel and George Mason to win the CAA championship for the 2nd time in 4 years. They were un/fortunate to draw the Duke Blue Devils. However, if Duke has had one area(actually several) of trouble its been with teams that have strong guard play. That is VCUs strength this year, and after Eric Maynard's final 2 minute takeover vs GM, that should continue to be a problem for the Blue Devils. All small school fans, keep your fingers crossed that the CAA will shine once again with a big upset of the Mighty ACC behemoth Duke Blue Devils.
